BALAZS, Mary Jane (Horvath) age 84 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Mary Jane was a loving mom,
grandma, great-grandma and great-great grandma. She was a registered nurse for 43 years at Good Samaritan, a member of the
Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Hungarian Maygar Club and the Hungarian "Noodle" Ladies. She is survived by her children

CLEARY, David E. 75, passed away at Kettering Medical Center, Jan. 21, 2008 after a long illness. He was preceded
in death by his granddaughter Kim Cleary, his parents David and Lillian and brother Mel. Survived by his children Steve (Gloria)
Cleary, Cathie (Don) Sanders and Joe Cleary. Also survived by his granddaughter Amy (Kevin) Allen, great grandsons Cole and
Cody, and former wife Joy, all of Florida. Also survived by his sister Patt (Jim) Sayer of North Bend, OH and other relatives.
He was a lifelong resident of Dayton, a graduate of Fairview H.S. He served in the Army and was employed many years at NCR.
He donated his body to WSU Medical School. A Mass in his honor will be celebrated at a later date. If desired, donations can

born on February 24, 1924 in Bond, KY to the late William Henry and Catherine Mintie (Harris) Davis. In addition to his parents
he is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pearl; 3 sons, Dan (Ginger) Davis,
Glenn Davis (Penny Stackhouse) and Ted (Laura) Davis; 1 daughter, Vicky Warrick; 2 sisters, Della (Jim) West and Wilma Medlock;
5 grandchildren, Amy (Doug) McClelland, George (Patience) Davis, Diana (Steve) Mearriam, Chris Warrick and Dawn Warrick; 4
great-grandchildren, Lauren and Megan Davis, Brad and Blayne McClelland. Jim was a self-employed brick mason. He was a veteran

DEAN, Patricia Ann, Age 62 of Kettering, OH, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, Jan. 27, at Hospice
of Dayton. She is survived by her daughters: Sherree and Tina; sons-in law: Mike Emmons and Kerry Jones; grandchildren: Johnathan,
Stephen, Christopher, Amanda, Alicia, and Kailynn; and great-grandchild Rylan. Pat worked for 20+ years at American Honda
where many friendships were formed, and she was a member of Bethany Church of Christ, as well as the Emmaus Community for
years. Caring for her garden and her family gave her the most pleasure. She will be remembered for her involvement with the
'Classics Bible Study', as well as other ministries within the church such as the food ministry and the nursery. A loving
Mom, Maw-Maw, and friend will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, February 1, 2008, at Bethany Church

HALEY, Dr. Michael Robert Jr. age 87, passed away Monday January 28, 2008, at St. Leonard's Center. He was born
in Piqua, OH. on December 22, 1920 to Dr. Michael and Cecilia Haley. He is survived by Doris, his wife of 60 years; his sister
Adele Haley; his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Renee of Dayton and his daughter and son-in-law, Cissy and Craig Pfeiffer
of New York. He also leaves four loving grandchildren, Michael Haley IV, Meg Haley, Austin Pfeiffer and Haley Pfeiffer; and
one great-grandchild, Landon Michael Haley. Dr. Haley attended Chaminade HS (Class of 1938), the University of Dayton and
the University of St. Louis School of Dentistry. He served in the US Navy and during this time he met the love of his life,
Doris Jehl, in Memphis, TN. Dr. Haley practiced family dentistry on North Main Street for over 52 years. He was an avid and
accomplished golfer, recording 5 hole-in-ones. He was active in the Dayton community, serving as President of Dayton Dental
Society and President of the U of D Varsity Club and a member of Miami Valley Golf Club, Agonis Club, Dayton Gym Club and
Kittyhawk Men's Golf Association. Dr. Haley has donated his tired and experienced body to Wright State Medical School for
research. There will be a Memorial Mass celebrating his life at St. Leonard's Main Chapel on Friday, February 1st at 12:00pm.

HARFORD, Richard "Dick" Dennis 67, of Lakeview, died early Tuesday Morning, January 29, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical
Center, Lima, OH. Richard was born on May 5, 1940 in Lakeview to the late Fredrick Morton and Mary Lenore Bond Harford. On
October 21, 1961, he married JoAnna Mae Golliday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta and she survives. He is also survived
by eight Children: Dennis (Penny) Harford, Lakeview, Kevin (Paula) Harford, Bellefontaine, Mark (Jennifer Laing) Harford,

(Scott) King, Marysville, and Malesia (Ben) Roby, Lakeview, twenty Grandchildren: Andrea Fry, Aimee (Steve) Pope, Wes Baker,
Anna Marie, Kaden Harford, Chloe Laing, Holly, Emily Harford, Kyle, Kale, Kelly Shoffner, Morgan, Monica Boswell, Christian,

Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council, 4378, A charter member of the Indian Lake EMS, a Boy Scout Master in the 1960s
and an Avid Community Recycler. He was a member of the Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department since 1964, including its Fire Chief
from 1978 – 1987. Mass will be conducted by Father Harold W. Kist at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. Mary
of the Woods Church, Russells Point. Visitation will be held at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, on Thursday, January 31th
from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with prayers being read at 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire. Contributions

after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Our Poppy was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ralph was born

Age 81 of Franklin passed away January 28, 2008 at Kettering Hospital. He was born February 24, 1926 in Wolf County, Kentucky
the son of Ambrose and Rosa Rose. He served in the Navy during World War II and retired from Inland Container after 40 years
of service. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles; and two sisters, Marie Pierce and Blanche Griffey.
Ben is survived by his loving wife Josephine of 57 years; two daughters Debbie Sprinkles (Ken) of Carlisle and Sharon Jackson
(Jeff) of Germantown; three sisters, Velma Stump, Evelyn Rice, and Virginia Davenport; four grandchildren Larissa Carmack
(Bruce), Tracy Thomas (Mike), Heather Jackson, and Ken Jackson. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Logan and
Grant Carmack and Madaline Montez. Funeral services will be Friday, February 1, 2008 at 10:00 am at Anderson Funeral Home

SCHRAN, Allan R. age 85, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at his residence. He is survived by
his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret (Protsman) Schran, of Dayton; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Brenda Schran,
of Beavercreek; four grandchildren, Erin, Brian, Joey and Dana Schran. He is also survived by a large number of brothers and
a sister. Allan retired from N.C.R. after 35 years of service in both the Paper Division and Micro Electronics Division as
a technician. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, St. Johns Lodge #13 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite, Valley of
Dayton and Antioch Temple where he was active in the Legion of Honor. Allan was also a member of the Dayton Woodcarvers Guild
and an accomplished sketch artist. He was a veteran of WW II where he worked on planes and used his talent as a sketch artist
to design art work on bombers. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME
